Robert Holzer

A specialist in the music of the Italian Baroque and the Second Viennese School, Professor Robert Holzer received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and has served on the faculties of Rutgers University, Princeton University, and the University of Chicago. He taught in the Yale University Department of Music from 1997 until he joined the School of Music faculty in 2005. His work has been published in Cambridge Opera Journal, Journal of the American Musicological Society, Music & Letters, Il saggiatore musicale, and Studi musicali. He serves on the editorial boards of The Journal of Musicology and Journal of the American Musicological Society and is a musical commentator for Radiotelevisione Italiana.
