Mary V. Dearborn is the author of seven books, the most recent a biography of Ernest Hemingway. She holds a Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, and most recently held a Cullman Fellowship at the New York Public Library. She lives in Buckland, Massachusetts and her biography of Carson McCullers, My Carson McCullers: A Life was published by Knopf in February 2024.
