John Lombardini joined the Department in 2010. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and his Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton University. Prior to joining the Government Department at William & Mary he was an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University's Society of Fellows in the Humanities. He teaches political theory, and is currently working on a book on the relationship between the ethics of laughter and democratic politics in ancient Greek political thought.
