Professor Bugg’s essays and reviews have appeared in PMLA, Eighteenth-Century Studies, The Huntington Library Quarterly, European Romantic Review and Keats-Shelley Journal. He is currently at work on a book project entitled Five Long Winters that examines the relations between literary culture and political repression at the end of the eighteenth century. He is also putting together an edition of the correspondence of publisher and bookseller Joseph Johnson. John Bugg is co-founder, with Sarah Zimmerman, of the New York City Romanticism Group.
