Gary Hausman is the South Asian Studies Librarian at Columbia University Libraries. He received his M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Virginia, his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, and most recently, his M.S.I.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Columbia’s library system, Hausman was a librarian at Princeton University’s Firestone Library. Hauseman languages include Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Spanish, and French, among others. In 2022, he published an article in a special issue of Brill's Asian Medicine on the theme of Tamil Siddha medicine.
