Society of Fellows and Buell Fellow Sonali Dhanpal has been awarded the 2026 Research Fellowship by the Canadian Center for Architecture. The Research Fellowship Program supports innovative, advanced research to foster new kinds of intellectual exchange that spark long-term dialogue and debate. She is one of four incoming fellows. Sonali has also received a Large Author Grant by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, Yale University, for her book Rule of the Property Form: Caste, Capital, and the Making of Colonial Bangalore.
