Society of Fellows Alumna Jordanna Bailkin (1999-2001) has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for her new book project, "Friends and Neighbors."
Jordanna Bailkin is currently the Jere L. Bacharach Endowed Professor in International Studies in the Department of History at the University of Washington. She will use her tenure as a 2022-2023 Guggenheim Fellow to work on her project on friendship and loneliness in Britain, which more broadly discusses emotions and the welfare state.
