Current Society of Fellows member Youssef Ben Ismail contributed a short essay on the historiographic consequences of manuscript theft in colonial Algeria to the new edited volume, Colonisations. Notre Histoire. The book presents a broad view of French colonial history from the early modern period through the present, and argues for its continued relevance in contemporary France.
