Former Governing Board Member Monica Miller (2011–2014) curated the 2025 Metropolitan Museum of Art fashion exhibition, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." Miller is the author of Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The Met show looks at how dandyism in Black culture is both a way of dressing and an "assertion of autonomy, beauty, and power in the face of a world that continues to attempt to restrict Black expression."
