Emily Bloom, Associate Director of The Society of Fellows and the Heyman Center for the Humanities, has won the 2017 MSA Prize for a First Book for her recently published "The Wireless Past: Anglo-Irish Writers and the BBC, 1931-1968" (Oxford University Press, 2016). The Modernist Studies Association prize was award to Bloom in Amsterdam last week. Emily Bloom is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia.
