For the past 50 years, the Columbia Society of Fellows has welcomed early-career researchers into a community of scholars whose research projects and teaching open new avenues of inquiry both within and across disciplines. Join us in celebrating what we have accomplished and in thinking together about how we might continue to apply the critical, reflective, and interpretive practices of the humanities to address real-world challenges.

SOF@50: Humanities in the World begins Friday evening, April 24, 2026, with a reception for current and former Fellows, Board Members, and invited guests, and concludes Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2026, with a roundtable on Walking in Cities and a guided NYC walk.
