Carl Wennerlind, Assistant Professor of History at Barnard College and author of Casualties of Credit: The English Financial Revolution, 1620-1720 (Harvard University Press, 2011), will speak on changes in 17th century natural philosophy, epistemology, and political economy that contributed to the modern Financial Revolution. Martha Howell, Miriam Champion Professor of History at Columbia University, will serve as commentator.
