Christian Delage, historian and filmmaker, will discuss film recordings of WWII and Nazi concentration camps and the screening of those recordings. Delage's books include The Scene of the Mass Crime, co-edited with Peter Goodrich (Routledge, 2012) and Caught on Camera: Film in the Courtroom: from the Nuremberg Trials to the Trials of the Khmer Rouge (University of Pennsylvania Press). His documentaries include "Nuremberg: The Nazis Facing Their Crimes" (2007) and "From Hollywood to Nuremberg: John Ford, Samuel Fuller, George Stevens" (2012). He served as a policy advisor on the filming of the Khmer Rouge trials, and produced Cameras in the Courtroom, a documentary on the issue of filming trials. He has also curated an exhibition on the liberation of the Nazi camps by the U.S. Army, shown at the Paris Memorial de la Shoah (2010) and at the New York Museum of Jewish Heritage (2012).
